Support & FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about Quicklog Baby.

Didn't find your question? Email us — we usually reply within two to three business days.

Is the app really completely free?

Yes. Quicklog Baby is fully free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscription. We may offer optional add-on features for a fee in the future, but the core features will always remain free.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No. All entries are stored exclusively on your phone in a local SQLite database. There is no server, no cloud, and no external transfer of your data.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There's no account, no email required, no password. Install, open, start.

How do I log an activity?

Open the app and tap one of the six buttons on the home screen (feeding, sleep, diaper, medication, note, or milestone). The activity is saved immediately with the current timestamp. To add details like feeding amount or sleep duration, long-press the button to open the detail dialog.

Is the app GDPR-compliant?

Yes. Because no personal data is transferred to servers and everything stays on your device, Quicklog Baby is designed to be privacy-friendly by default. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

What statistics does the app show?

The Statistics page offers three views: Day shows the last 24 hours on a timeline, Week places seven days side by side, and Month provides a calendar heatmap covering the whole month. Each activity is color-coded (sleep, feeding, diaper, medication), so patterns become visible at a glance.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your entries as a CSV file anytime — for your own analysis or as a backup. The export feature is in the settings.

Can I track multiple children?

The current version supports one child. Multi-child support is planned for a future update.

Can I hide individual activity types in the charts?

Yes. Above the charts you'll find filter icons for the four activity types. Tap to toggle individual categories on or off — handy when you want to focus on sleep patterns only, for instance.

Can I navigate between different weeks or months?

Yes. In every view you can navigate left and right with arrow buttons — to the previous week, next month, and so on. This lets you compare changes across longer timeframes.

Can I edit or delete an entry afterwards?

Yes. The Timeline shows all entries chronologically. Within the first five minutes, you can tap an entry to edit it. To delete, swipe left on the entry.

What happens to my data when I delete the app?

Your data is removed from your device together with the app. Since we don't keep a copy on any server, the data is permanently gone afterwards. We recommend doing a CSV export beforehand if you want to keep your data.

Is there a home-screen widget for faster access?

A widget is planned for a future version, so you can log directly from your home screen without opening the app.

How do I move my data to a new device?

For now, we recommend exporting your entries from the old device via CSV. Device-to-device transfer is planned for a later update.

Does the app use tracking or advertising IDs?

No. Quicklog Baby contains no tracking SDKs, no advertising IDs, no third-party analytics.

Can I create a report for the pediatrician?

The CSV export contains all the data you can share. A dedicated PDF export for pediatricians is planned for a future version.

When do the statistics become meaningful?

The daily view works from your very first entry. The weekly and monthly views need some usage time before patterns emerge — typically three to five days of regular logging are enough to see initial rhythms.

Is Quicklog Baby a medical app?

No. Quicklog Baby is a tracking tool for everyday life with a baby and does not replace medical advice or diagnosis. For health-related questions, please contact your pediatrician or midwife.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

Email us at support@quicklog-baby.app. If possible, briefly describe what you did, what happened, and which device or app version you're using. We usually respond within two to three business days.

I have a feature request. Where can I submit it?

Feature requests are always welcome. Email us at support@quicklog-baby.app with "Feature Request" in the subject line.

Who is behind Quicklog Baby?

Quicklog Baby is built by an independent developer based in Germany. Contact and legal information is on our Legal Notice page.

In which languages is the app available?

Currently in German and English. The app automatically follows your device's system language.

Which devices is Quicklog Baby available for?

Do I have to pay for statistics?
